Top hotelier touts new luxury hotels in Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo.- The president of the National Hotels and Restaurants Association (ASONAHORES) praised the construction of a new generation of luxury hotels in Dominican Republic such as chains NH Hotels, Ritz-Carlton, Westin and Fairmont.

Dominican lawmakers reject proposed tourism entity’s sweeping powers
SANTO DOMINGO.- The bill which creates the National Tourism Development Institute (Indetur) has met resistance in the Chamber of Deputies which if approves it, would give the new entity sweeping powers to propose the “tourism poles,” including the Executive Branch decree for them.

Hoteliers defend bill would revamp Dominican tourism industry

Viva launches Viva Residence in several Dominican resorts

Second largest Dominican city to get Delta flights daily
Santo Domingo.- Delta Airlines continues to expand in the Caribbean with a new nonstop daily service from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Santiago (north), starting in December.
Santiago is one of the Dominican Republic’s main cultural and educative centers and industrial zones, which produces rum, leather and textiles.
